Red Lipstick

A while back Seleta, from Simply Seleta blogged about the Coco Chanel lipstick Rebelle here. Since she & I have similar complexions, I went to Nordstrom & sampled it & loved it! I got it for Christmas. I loooove it! It looks super bright in the tube, but when applied it's a sheer red. I love it because you can control the brightness by how many layers you apply. It's my first Chanel product and I love it! My little Yorkie's name is Chanel so I kinda owed it to her to have at least one Chanel product! lol

going natural!

I was browsing through my In Style magazine and found this ad. I love her lipstick color! After doing some googling, I found that it is the shade "Boy."

Isn't this such a pretty shade? I love that the shade is very natural. 

Redeeming Love

I am currently reading Reedeming Love by Francine Rivers & it is a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! I started reading it a couple of days ago & I'm almost finished. It's a modern day version of the book Hosea in the Old Testament. My favorite book in the Bible is Hosea so as soon as I found out about this book I had to buy it. It is definitely a must read! Are there any books that you are reading that are really good?

update!

Wow! So it's been too long since I have updated!! Let's see . . .

* the kitchen

it is finally almost finished!! I will be sure to add pictures later this week! Have you ever heard the saying "The kitchen is the heart of the home?" Well, it definitely is true! Cal & I haven't had a functioning kitchen since we moved from Kentucky (right around 6 months). It's been crazy hectic. But finally, we are in the home stretch! I told Cal that I wanted to sleep in the kitchen it's so nice! haha

* the living room

it is getting there also! I made curtains, I will have to sure that with you as well. We are in the process of adding a dresser & using it as a buffet. I still need to get floating shelves and picture frames, throw pillows, rug, coffee table, etc.

* master bedroom
slowly but surely getting there! I've bought a duvet and white duvet cover, white bedskirt, and a cute golden ruffle round pillow--- adorable!! Next on the list is navy curtains.

Just wanted to let you know that I haven't disappeared! I have tons of updates to share with you this week! stay tuned!

cooling down

It has been soooooo hot here! I was riding by the bank & the temperature reading said 102 degrees! I'm not complaing though, I'd much rather be hot than freezing cold. At the house, the prince & I have been been indulging in {low fat} icecream! lol I can't seem to keep it stocked. Food Lion has some amazing low fat icecream for only $1.99. The brand is "Smart Options."

Lowfat+icecream+cheap+summertime=happiness =)
