glass table-top dining!

Let's talk dining room tables! I LOVE pedestal tables. There is just something about them that I adore! My husband & I recently discovered that he liked glass-top tables. We thought it would be awesome if we could combine the two together. An extra extra added bonus is that having a glass-top dining table in our apartment is going to be super awesome because it is going to look light & airy, not taking up much space. While I was on Craigslist {again! haha} I found this beauty:

Imagine her in a coat of white glossy paint with a beautiful round glass-top! Are ya with me!? :D We called & picked her up yesterday! I can't wait to get to work on her! Here are a few examples of glass-top dining tables:

Springtime Color!

I am sooo happy it is Spring!!! I love how the earth really feels like it comes to ALIVE. I'm so thankful that we haven't had much of a winter in Virginia Beach. I absolutely LOVE the weather here! But there was still something missing from December~February {yes only, February, my daffodils starting blooming in the middle of February!} that something was COLOR. I'm so happy to see color again; from fashion, decor, & nature!

So speaking of color, I LOVE these rooms!

Backyard Spaces and Patios

Lately I have been daydreaming of beautiful outdoor spaces. It's been such a gorgeous month. Looking at these beautiful spaces makes me want to dive in & start decorating our backyard!

A beautiful backyard space, friends, music, laughter, sunshine, twinkle lights . . . what more could you ask for?! =)

What about you? Have you started thinking about your backyard/balcony space?

Miss Chloe!

My beautiful friend Jamie her husband Travis are having a baby girl--- Chloe! She told me she is thinking about decorating the nursery in gray & pink or pink & brown. I did a little researching & found some really cute gray & pink nurseries. If these pictures help her out, I'll research brown & pink as well! =)

Enjoy! (:

pink!

I have been wanting to get two chairs for the living room for a little while now, just looking around occasionally, but not finding anything I really liked. I started looking in my living room board on Pinterest to see if I saw any trends/repeats of what I really like in a room for chairs. I spotted it immediately.

PINK!

I know, who would have thought that? lol

red couches/furniture!

My friend Sierra just moved into an apartment & she has a red couch. I looked up some some photos to see what wall colors compliment red couches. Some of the photos don't have red couches in them, but rather red chairs, red bedding, etc. Some of the photos aren't all that pretty haha, so just pay attention to the wall color & the red piece of furniture.

I think that dark gray {picture #33 & #19}, light gray, beige {picture #6 & #25}, tan {picture #30}, and if you are feeling a little daring.. light blue & turquoise! {pictures #27, #28, #10} For a more peacock blue, #3 is really nice looking too with the red couch.

I also think that with the wall color dark gray or light gray, sleek decor would look really good {pictures #1 & #14}. I love the picture with the black & white stripe rug {picture #21} I also think that it would look really cool to incorporate turquoise or light blue to give it that beachy look as well... especially since you live next to the beach! =) {pictures 11 & 12} White frames hung on the wall would really pop. You could paint the walls beige or tan {if they aren't already} and you could make it feel more homey. Gray paint is modern but still can be cozy depending on the shade & your decor.

I also added some photos with just white walls just so you could see pops of red here & there.
If you do want something homey & cozy painting the walls a chocolate brown would look really cool too! You could still incorporate light blue & turquoise {if you like those colors! haha}

If you only like one thing out of a picture, save it under "love the photos on the wall" & save it to your computer. You may take it a little of something in one picture & a little something else in another picture. I also have dark gray, light gray, light blue, and turquoise examples in my house! lol Have fun!!
