soft & soothing or vibrant & bright?

As I talked about in my last post, I was planning on doing Benjamin Moore's Waterfall in the laundry room {pictured below}. It's a beautiful color. But I'm thinking about going another color now.

The color I'm now thinking about doing is a soft green color. It's called Goal Post by Ralph Lauren. It's very similar to this color below. What can I say? I'm a girl who likes soft colors. Other than liking the paint color in the photo below, I heart everything else as well. Our laundry room is going to be small-- just enough to place shelving on the wall and bringing laundry baskets in & out.

Here is another laundry room painted in a soft green.

The laundry room is still a work in progress. After all of the walls are primed, I'll narrow down my colors & see where that takes me. There isn't going to be a window, so that is definitely going to effect the paint color I choose.

& of course, there are more beautiful pictures of laundry rooms.... {in soft colors =)} Can't wait to share the progress! All I have now is before pictures... but stay tuned! =)

a touch of turquoise

I have noticed lately that my favorite colors are the colors of the sea. Soft blues, turquoises, grays, whites, and creams. The house is getting done a little bit at a time. The first room that is going to be ready to paint is probably going to be the laundry room. My prince is building it for me as I type. =) The color is called Waterfall by Benjamin Moore, a turquoise/blue. I can't wait until the rest of the house is finished so I can incorporate more turquoise. I'll leave you with some of my favorite pictures with pops of turquoise.

The next time I blog, I'll be living in Virginia Beach. We are heading out early tomorrow morning. Our bags are packed!

shelf valance

A shelf valance-- a nifty & cheap idea! All you need is a spring rod {they are super cheap, around $2} and some fabric. Voolah! On a side note, the blue suitcase is darling!

Remember God's creation & beauty is everywhere! It's so easy to overlook a beautiful starry night sky & tulips in the springtime.

pink & gray should get married =)

Gray rooms with pink accents-- amazing. I noticed this for the first time in our old apartment. Chanel has a pink bed. Her bed would sit on the couch behind the picture wall with gray frames. Love at first sight. ;)
