curtains with trim

The decor that's been on my mind lately is curtains! Our new apartment is going to have 9ft ceilings which means the curtains I have now aren't going to work. That's one of my pet peeves, curtains that look like capris! lol I love when curtains touch the floor, it's so elegant!

One of my ideas is to buy sheer or white curtains and add trim. Here are two of my favorites!

DIY modern fringed curtains

I love the dark contrast between the black tassel trim & the white flowly curtains. I love the modern vibe it gives! The cherry yellow pom pom trim is also too cute!! Still debating.... :)

Have you ever tried tassel or pom pom trim?

Bath & Body Works

Have you been to Bath & Body Works lately? They are having their semi-annual sale now. Be careful, it can be dangerous! lol They are having the best sales! While I was there, I fell in love with two candles:

Summer Boardwalk:

"Like memories of the best summer spent at the beach - caramel-glazed popcorn, warm taffy-apples and salted, sweet cream." ~B&BW

"Just like the perfect ice cream sundae – creamy vanilla, rich toffee and sweet almond blossom with a cherry on top." ~B&BW

Can you say delicious?! They names are so cute! Ice Cream Shop & Summer Boardwalk, how cute is that?!  The pictures on the candles are so adorable as well! Not to mention the beautiful description! They are both in my top 10 ever best selling candles. Seriously, and I love candles! Unfortunately, they aren't included in the sale. {I guess because they are brand new scents} Although at the check-out counter, I did find the mini Summer Boardwalk for $2. It's regular $3.50. Yes, I snatched it up! It's so little & adorable. It makes up for the smallness lol. My eyes are definitely watching these two guys to go on sale. My husband & I love to randomly drive down to the beach & walk on the boardwalk and share a waffle cone. Maybe that's why I love them so much! :)

Have you been to the Semi-Annual Sale? Any favorite products?

glass table-top dining!

Let's talk dining room tables! I LOVE pedestal tables. There is just something about them that I adore! My husband & I recently discovered that he liked glass-top tables. We thought it would be awesome if we could combine the two together. An extra extra added bonus is that having a glass-top dining table in our apartment is going to be super awesome because it is going to look light & airy, not taking up much space. While I was on Craigslist {again! haha} I found this beauty:

Imagine her in a coat of white glossy paint with a beautiful round glass-top! Are ya with me!? :D We called & picked her up yesterday! I can't wait to get to work on her! Here are a few examples of glass-top dining tables:

Chloe Sofa!

Calvin & I have had our sectional since we have been married, a little over 5 years! {Sorry for the horrible iphone picture! This was the picture I used for Craigslist} (: Anyhoo, I was a little sad to see it go because it was our first piece of furniture that we purchased together. {I'm so sentimental!} We also had another sectional & a sofa set given to us, so up on Craigslist they went as well! I was so excited to sofa shop!!

We used our new moolah for a new sofa. So exciting!! We decided on the sofa "Chloe" from Macy's in ivory. Absolutely love it! On that particular day, it was 20% off, what a blessing!!

Isn't she gorgeous? I'm so thankful! I spotted it online first. And it was love at first sight. (: God spoke to me & told me not to get too attached because if it isn't comfortable then I should continue looking. I'm so thankful that I heard God say that. My husband works so hard & the last thing he needs is an uncomfortable & hard couch to lay on after a hard day's work! lol Sometimes I get so caught up in the details & lovliness, I tend to forget about pracitcalness haha. My husband is so practical, which balances me out. I kid & call him prati-cal... because his name is Calvin & his nickname is Cal. lol Okay, moving on!

As I was saying in my last post, whenever I spot something I really love, I google it to see what it looks like in real homes. I found this image & I was smitten!

{Knight Moves}

See what I mean?! Gorgeous! I saved a folder of about twenty images of the Chloe sofa to see how she looks in different living rooms. Yep, loved it even more! The next day we went to Macy's & looked at it in the store. Calvin sat down first. I was too scared it was going to be hard as a rock haha. Calvin's face lit up & he said he loved it! I immediately sat down into its cushiony goodness! We bought it! I can't wait until it gets here! God is just so so good!

Here are some of my favorite living rooms with white tufted sofas:

What do you think? Are tufted couches a yes or no in your book? Do tell! (:

Ikea Lack TV Stand

I instantly fell in love with this apartment below. {If anyone knows the source, please let me know! I saved it on my computer & forgot to add the source, oops!}I love everything about it; from the modern sleek lines to the pop of blues & greens throughout. Currently I'm on the search for a sleek & simple tv stand. I looove the tv stand in this apartment.

First things first, I immediately went to Ikea's website! I spotted the "lack" tv stand in white for $49.99 It's definitely on the list! I then went to google and tried to find what it looked like in "real life" (: I love to do this because it gives you a better idea of the size, scale, opinions, etc.
 Emily Snuffer
It is used here as a coffee table, pretty cool!

This is ikea's picture above. Absolutely love it! I love the way you can still decorate around it. That's a MUST! =)

Has anyone owned the ikea lack tv stand? Likes or dislikes? I'll let you know if I decide to buy it or not! =)
